Summary The Ash Group is hiring a Senior Design Engineer for a high‑tech aerospace and defense contractor. This 6‑month onsite contract will support the U.S. Jet Training System proposal, focusing on airframe and landing gear design. Hourly pay: $80.00.

• Review and refine preliminary aircraft designs for the UJTS program.
• Conduct requirement assessments and ensure compliance for structural integrity and landing gear.
• Perform system and structural trade studies (hydraulics, propulsion integration, weights, loads).
• Contribute technical content to the proposal (Feb–Mar) and support main design and engineering reviews.
• Use aerospace analysis tools (structures, loads, MATLAB) and potentially CATIA V5.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (U.S. citizenship required).
• 10+ years of relevant design experience;
  Level III/Senior Engineer preferred.
• Strong background in aerospace and defense design, especially aircraft.
• Expertise in airframe/aerostructures, landing gear, hydraulics, or propulsion integration.
• Ability to work independently, handle design assessments and trade studies with minimal direction.
• Familiarity with aircraft requirements standards and experience refining designs for complex aviation platforms.
