PositionWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on Automation to design, develop, and implement advanced product and automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with customers' existing processes. The role may involve leading large‑scale design‑and‑build projects, providing automation support, or validating automation projects. The engineer must support and collaborate with junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and components with an emphasis on automation, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Work within project teams to meet schedule and budget requirements.
- Identify and implement automation systems, including mechanical design, electrical control design, and programming where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—electrical engineers, software developers, and production staff—to integrate automation solutions.
- Create prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs to meet project goals and specifications.
- Lead and manage automation projects from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Provide subject‑matter‑expert leadership in designated areas such as product design, machine design, robotics integration, or equipment assembly and testing.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, including design schematics, process instructions, and operation manuals.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and automation‑related issues, minimizing downtime.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on automation systems.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing automated machinery and processes.
- High proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, and control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial automation standards and safety regulations.
- Experience with material handling systems, actuators, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
- Machining experience is a plus.
