Summary:
Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers are responsible for the design, coordination, documentation, and delivery of electrical building systems for our Venue Sector. Think environments like Airports, Convention Centers, Theatres, Concert Venues, Rec Centers, Gyms, Collegiate and Professional Sports Arenas, Stadiums, and Training Facilities. Depending on experience level, individuals may perform engineering calculations, prepare and review design documents, coordinate with project teams, manage tasks or projects, provide technical leadership, mentor others, and support business development activities.

- Prepares design documents under the supervision of experienced engineering and design staff.
- Assists with engineering calculations, basic design tasks, and research on products, systems, and applicable codes.
- Supports the review of shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications and participates in field verification as directed.
- Collaborates with experienced staff to understand client requirements and project scope, acting as a liaison to relay client and architect questions and responses to the design team.
- Supports project coordination activities under the guidance of senior staff, including emails, scope tracking, and schedule coordination.
- May participate in business development or pursuit activities under direct supervision and occasionally attend client, company, or industry events.
- Fosters a client‑centric mindset and approach in all work, assisting with client communication as appropriate.
- Visits job sites for observation, learning, and professional development opportunities.
- Continuously seeks to expand knowledge and fill gaps in industry or discipline expertise.
- Develops proficiency in industry‑standard software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and 1 year of relevant experience, or 4 years of experience with high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
- Basic proficiency in engineering design: basic knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards.
- MEP/Construction Industry experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
- High technical aptitude: ability to learn, understand and utilize various systems and processes.
- Effective critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and engineering design software applicable to your discipline or focus.
