Senior RF Optimization Engineer to support large-scale LTE and 5G radio networks. This role focuses on end-to-end RF design, planning, optimization, and performance improvement across metro and statewide deployments. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership experience, and the ability to drive network quality in complex environments.

• 10+ years of RF engineering experience in radio network design, implementation, and/or optimization
• Recent hands‑on experience with LTE and 5G
• Technical leadership experience on 5+ projects, including at least 2 large‑scale metro or statewide deployments as the technical lead

• Experience with LTE and 5G technologies including 5G , Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, CBRS, IoT, and multi‑vendor environments
• Strong understanding of Layer 3 messaging for LTE and 5G
• Experience performing event analysis to address accessibility, retainability, and handover success rates
• Experience optimizing live, loaded networks with understanding of real versus artificial traffic

• Extensive experience using RF planning tools such as Atoll and Planet EV
• Strong understanding of link budget development and analysis
• Experience creating and managing RF planning projects
• Tilt and azimuth optimization, new site recommendations, and cell plan improvements
• Experience with Automatic Cell Planning (ACP) tools
• Monte Carlo analysis and RF model tuning
• Ability to make recommendations to improve overall network design

• Drive test data collection and analysis
• Experience with optimization tools including TEMS, Actix, Agilent, and R&S
• Parameter tuning and feature activation to improve system performance
• Understanding of IRAT procedures and their impact on network quality
• LTE and 5G optimization experience including uplink tuning and carrier additions
• Experience using Ericsson ENM and KPI‑driven optimization
