The Ash Group is hiring a Senior Optimization Engineer for our client (a world-renowned telecommunications company providing the technology and equipment that enables global mobile connectivity and 4G/5G networks).

This is an onsite role based in Plano, TX
. The role focuses on advanced RF design and real-time optimization of high-performance indoor and venue networks, specializing in Active and Passive DAS and 4G/5G technologies
.

• Compensation: Competitive pay rate of $55.00 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive real-time optimization and ensure peak network performance for indoor, stadium, and temporary outdoor deployments, managing end-to-end projects across various venues.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of Active and Passive DAS solutions and small cells (e.g., Commscope, JMA, Corning), including commissioning and optimization.
• Apply strong LTE and  (NSA & SA) design and layer-management expertise, focusing on throughput, SINR, traffic balancing, and performance metrics.
• Perform detailed RF walk-test analysis and KPI-driven deep dives, utilizing industry tools such as iBwave and TEMS
  , to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Serve as the primary customer point of contact for assigned markets, consulting with stakeholders to define scope, manage requirements, and align on deliverables.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 6–8 years of professional RF engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused specifically on in-building and special event optimization.
• Proficiency in iBwave with relevant project experience or a minimum iBwave Level 2 certification.
• Advanced technical knowledge of wireless network technologies, including Ericsson indoor products (e.g., Radio DOT, ENM).
• Expertise in analyzing complex datasets, RF walk-test data, and KPI data to drive optimization and performance recommendations.
• Excellent communication and customer engagement skills to manage expectations and present complex technical findings.
