Security Engineer

Location:

Plano, TX | Duration: 6 months

The Senior Security (Threat) Engineer candidate will support all technical and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure technical planning and logistics occur to achieve targeted schedules and meet annual commitment to refresh and build requirements while incurring zero impact to the network.
• Analyze and understand a variety of existing and evolving business requirements, interface with technology engagement teams, and provide best‑in‑class threat solutions that align with business and technology needs.
• Manage multiple technical project engagements and deliver technical threat and cybersecurity solutions, collaborating with various levels of management, clients, and technical teams.
• Design, engineer, and deliver new hardware systems for client applications, and build and deploy threat platforms such as Sky High Secure Web Gateway, F5 SSLO, and Trellix Fire Eye.
• Apply strong attention to detail, follow refined processes, seek continual improvements, and assess and advise on solutions to improve processes.
• Work nights and weekends as required to support change activity.

Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of security experience with threat solutions.
• Engineering minded with polished collaboration, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proven track record interacting with management, clients, and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Essential skill set:
  Analytical Thinking, Application Development, Automation, Production Support, Risk Management, Adaptability, Business Acumen, Dev Ops, Solution Delivery, Process Solution Design.
