SummaryElectrical Engineers and Electrical Designers design, coordinate, document, and deliver electrical building systems for the Venue Sector – including airports, convention centers, theatres, concert venues, recreational centers, gyms, collegiate and professional sports arenas, stadiums, and training facilities. Duties range from engineering calculations and design documentation to project coordination, technical leadership, and business development support.
Position SummaryIndependently performs intermediate electrical design tasks, prepares design documents, coordinates with internal and external partners, and may mentor less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform intermediate-level calculations and design with minimal supervision.
- Prepare and modify plans, reports, and technical documents.
- Review shop drawings for compliance.
- Guide junior designers and provide technical support.
- Participate in business development and client coordination.
- Support limited project management and coordination tasks.
- Maintain current knowledge of codes, standards, and design tools.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and design principles.
- Experience in MEP/Construction Industry.
- FE and/or PE completion preferred.
- Ability to lead small tasks or portions of projects.
- Completion of FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards.
- High technical aptitude and effective critical‑thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering design software.
- Clear communication and willingness to ask questions.
- Accountability, reliability, and ethical behavior.
- Commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Collaboration and receptiveness to feedback.
