Job Description

Supply Chain Associate Principal Engineer (L09) to manage Capacity, Innovation, Productivity and Sustainability projects in the Transformation & Engineering department.

Responsibilities
  • Execute engineering solutions to bring new capacity, innovation, productivity and sustainability projects that enable Frito‑Lay’s portfolio of products, including the installation of new manufacturing lines and/or the modification of existing production equipment, including process, packaging, warehouse, facilities & utilities.
  • Participate in and lead cross‑functional teams of colleagues and outside resources, including plant personnel, equipment vendors, engineering and construction contractors.
  • Define manufacturing and unit operation needs for project scope requirements and documentation.
  • Independently lead medium and large projects.
  • Apply engineering principles to problem solving and managing unexpected changes.
  • Develop project budgets, maintain cost tracking tools and actively control project costs to deliver project cost requirements; create project funding documents.
  • Develop project timelines, maintain time management tools in multiple formats and actively control project schedules, ensuring project schedule attainment.
  • Manage procurement, including analyzing quotes, writing procurement documents and tracking project procurement; develop and leverage technical specifications and write inspection acceptance test plans.
  • Develop, manage and execute equipment installation and start‑up plans while supervising outside contractors and vendors.
  • Manage multiple project deliverables, accelerated timelines and competing priorities.
  • Communicate and mitigate project risks.
  • Expected travel: 25% to 35%.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Expected compensation range: $89,000 – $149,000.
  • Location, confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Recruiters can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Performance bonus: 10% of annual salary paid annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Previous project management in manufacturing experience preferred.
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
  • 7+ years of professional experience.
  • Technical curiosity with a desire to continuously learn.
  • Self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, aggressive, results‑oriented culture.
  • Lead and drive an agenda to deliver results.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; communicate well to project stakeholders including senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
