What We're Looking For at HNTB: a Senior Project Manager focused on TxDOT Projects in North Texas. Join a team of 160+ professionals across Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, and Little Rock, with a culture committed to diversity, development, and community engagement.
This opportunity involves managing assigned project(s) through full lifecycle, from scope and technical proposal development to contract negotiations and delivery. The role focuses on delivering quality work on time and on budget, while ensuring client satisfaction, and actively managing budget, schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, and communications. The Senior Project Manager typically leads multi-disciplinary teams on mini-mega to mega projects, and may serve as a key discipline lead on larger programs.
Responsibilities- Develop project scope and fee quotations; assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB s Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
- Serve as primary client liaison; manage project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and client satisfaction; lead client contract scoping and negotiations.
- Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
- Implement the firm s project delivery plan using HNTB s Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA); develop and execute the project management plan; supervise and mentor the team toward project objectives.
- Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession planning; develop staff reporting plans; support performance and compensation reviews.
- Partner with Client Service Leaders to support business development, client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mega projects; prepare proposal and presentation materials; lead proposal development and interviews.
- May recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff; establish staff reporting and performance plans; support compensation reviews and succession planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience
- 4 years of successful management of engineering projects
- 15 years relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- History of successful sales and delivery with TxDOT
