Transportation Design Technician

Kisinger Campo & Associates (KCA) is seeking a Transportation Design Technician to join our team in Plano, TX. The applicant will assist engineers and Senior CAD Technicians in the development of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads, and Micro Station Connect OBM developed plans and details with a primary focus on structures and roadway plan production.

• Daily in person presence at the Plano, TX Office location
• Obtain guidance from Structural & Roadway Engineers, and Senior CAD Technicians
• Use computer drafting software to prepare high-quality design plans for roadway & bridge projects
• Produce roadway and bridge/structures plan sheets using Micro Station and Open Roads Designer (ORD)
• Correct mark-up drawings
• Take verbal direction and hand sketches to create CAD format details
• Assist in assembling complete plan sets for TxDOT and municipal projects
• Ensure sheets comply with DOT standards

• 5-10 years of related industry experience
• Proficiency in Micro Station, Open Roads, and plan production
• Ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings
• Familiarity with DOT standards
• Ability to think 3-dimensionally
• Ability to work independently and accomplish multiple tasks
