Role SummaryAs a Special Initiatives Manager, you will have the great opportunity to be a pinnacle piece in one of our Film and Content strategy divisions. Special Initiatives is an intricate part of the Film department with a focus in developing as well as coordinating and managing projects. Included within these projects is special screenings, independent film releases as well as alternative content programming.
You will gain exposure to all components of the Film department as well as all other departments here at Cinemark.
- Assist with all phases of event development, including event planning and event team coordination, and own the overall timeline and deliverables to help drive projects to a successful completion.
- Act as a liaison between all teams and communicate clearly on content, decisions, timing, and project status to ensure project cohesion and alignment.
- Maintain weekly project metrics, update documents, and create reports as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with Vendors, Distributors and Customers.
- Work closely and maintain effective communication with other departments, including Operations, Food and Beverage, Marketing and Theatre Staff.
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity while managing your current workload and pursuing objectives beyond what is required or expected.
- Screen and evaluate content for programming in Cinemark Theatres.
- Experience in the exhibition business, distribution or theater operations is beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self‑motivated and a team player.
- Adaptable/flexible personality who can handle the ever‑changing demands of the position and work in both strategic and executional capacities.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Oracle Peoplesoft.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
