* Make credit decisions on conventional mortgage and home equity loan applications.
* Review income, asset, credit and appraisal documents.
* Provide support to the senior underwriting staff by reviewing loan conditions regarding credit, income, and collateral risk.
* Work within specified time frames to assist in closing loans in a timely manner.
* Maintains the confidentiality of the information reviewed.
* Maintains and improves personal knowledge and skills.
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines.
* Analyzing risk and requesting additional documentation as necessary.
* Staying up to date agency guidelines, products and recent regulatory changes.
* Performs other duties as requested by manager
* Provide exceptional servicing support to customers and loan officers
* Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures
* Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
* Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field.
* 0-5 years relevant work experience or internship experience in finance, mortgage, accounting, banking or related field.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Detail-oriented and highly organized.  Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to lead by example and participate as an effective member; conducts self as a professional.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment to resolve problems
* Proficient computer skills.
* Exceptional customer service skills.
* Willingness to accept additional responsibilities. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules.
* Takes initiative in development and completion of projects.
* The ability to use email, phone, and other communication tools are necessary.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people.
