Toyota’s Dealer Lending Portfolio Management Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Dealer Lending Portfolio Supervisor.

The primary responsibility of this role is leading a regional team that will monitor the Commercial Loan portfolio and serves as an escalation point and SPOC for their regional team, Dealer Lending and Field Sales and for managing and developing a team of representatives that are accountable for all aspects of Commercial Loan Portfolio Management.

Reporting to the Dealer Lending Portfolio Manager, the person in this role will support the Dealer Lending Portfolio Management department's objective to focus on commercial loan risk management and excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.

What you’ll be doing
  • Coaching and holding team members accountable for their respective job functions while evaluating and making recommendations to management regarding best practices.

  • Responsible for supervising all functions relating to Loan Portfolio Management including performing on-going portfolio management, monitoring and risk management activities to confirm that relationships adhere to established credit policy, procedures and business strategy, as well as commercial and regulatory guidelines.

  • Communicate with various internal business partners, i.e., Dealer Lending UW, Servicing, Audit, Field Sales, Legal, Treasury, etc., advising them as needed to support underwriting and portfolio management process.

  • Collaborate with Dealer Lending Servicing, UW and Field Sales to assist with client servicing, collecting of borrower and guarantor financials, transaction information, covenant compliance information and audit performance trends.

  • Create and deliver meaningful, sustainable value to customers by anticipating needs and expectations and providing appropriate value-add solutions to support the Field Sales team’s business development efforts with existing clients.

  • Develop and enhance SOPs as needed.

  • Recommend and help create reporting and process improvements.

  • Hire, train and supervise a Portfolio Team.

What you bring
  • Bachelor’s degree, in Business Administration or a related field or progressive years of relevant work experience in a similar or related industry.

  • Experience in managing a portfolio of accounts.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accuracy and quality in portfolio management processes while supporting team efficiency.

  • Strong communication skills for engaging directly with customers and building lasting relationships.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying training needs and performance improvement opportunities.

Added bonus
  • Master’s Degree.

  • Commercial automotive experience at a captive finance company.
