Overview
Credit Associates, a leading direct‑to‑consumer financial services company based in Plano, TX, seeks a people‑oriented Settlement Advisor to join its team. The Settlement Advisor (SA) has the critical role of presenting settlement terms to clients, reviewing accounts to determine fund availability, gaining acceptance when applicable, and validating funds to complete settlement offers. Settlement Advisors are the primary liaison between the company, the creditor, and the client.
This role educates clients on their settlement status, structures settlement terms, and determines the best settlement offer to ensure success for both the client and the company.
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Effectively handle inbound and outbound calls
- Identify and convey acceptable settlement terms and percentages consistent with company standards
- Exhibit excellent knowledge of client base and maintain client relationships
- Calculate and add funds necessary to finalize settlements
- Obtain client authorization to accept settlements when needed
- Manage follow‑ups on client inquiries that cannot be immediately resolved
- Motivate and retain clients to complete the program
- Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Flexibility and ability to meet changing business needs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi‑task and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
- Competitive and highly self‑motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- High School Diploma or higher education
- Must be able to work 100% in‑office Monday‑Friday at our Plano location
- 1 year or more of debt settlement or financial services experience

- Strong computer skills:
Word, Excel, Outlook - Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus
