LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant for an innovative client in the banking and financial industry located in Plano, Texas
. This role supports the organization’s consolidated financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance efforts. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting.

In addition to holding a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, the ideal candidate will bring at least five years of accounting experience within banking or financial services, along with a solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory reporting standards. A CPA designation or equivalent experience is preferred.

This position pays 110K-115K+ Bonus and located in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and banking industry standards.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes through documentation and timely responses.
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting efforts, including filings with FDIC and state banking agencies.
  • Analyze and explain financial variances, providing clear insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and banking regulations.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, verify, and analyze financial information.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system implementations as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience, ideally within banking or financial services.
  • CPA certification or equivalent practical experience strongly preferred.
  • Public accounting or audit experience, particularly within financial institutions, desired.
  • Knowledge of or interest in digital currency and blockchain technologies a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and Power Pivot.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative, and evolving work environment.
