* Provides administrative support to the lending and credit staff, to assist in the completion of loan packages.
* Communicates with applicants, Business Development Officers, Brokers, Sellers, and Accountants to gather necessary documents for SBA underwriting and packaging.
* Reviews all documents received including financial statements and based on the review assesses the need for additional information and additional documents to meet SBA eligibility requirements.
* Ensures electronic files are complete with all documents required to meet SBA requirements for underwriting and packaging for eligibility and completeness.
* Responsible for the accuracy of the loan files, including all packaging documents, satisfaction of credit conditions, and compliance with SBA Lending requirements as stated in the SBA SOP.
* Orders third party reports as necessary, including credit reports, appraisal and environmental reports, and UCC searches.
* Creates the First United Bank Loan Start application for each loan.
* Creates and maintains status reports for management.
* Performs variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.
* Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and other relevant information.
* Promotes an outstanding customer experience by exemplifying prompt follow-up and proactive internal/external customer communication, proper etiquette, and all other professional customer service qualities to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
* Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal, technical, problem solving, and written communication skills.
* Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor.
* Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
* Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.
* Dresses professionally.
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* College Degree Preferred.
* Some SBA experience and knowledge of SBA SOP requirements is preferred but not required.
