Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the full‑time position of Construction Loan Administrator
.
- Initiate coordination among lending staff, customers, inspectors and contractors to ensure proper tracking and compliance with the construction loan program.
- Review and approve construction third‑party inspection contractors for inclusion on bank‑approved vendor list.
- Adhere to the Loan Program requirements for construction loans.
- Ensure draw requests are complete and include all proper documentation.
- Coordinate monthly third‑party inspections of construction projects.
- Conduct construction site inspections in accordance with loan program requirements.
- Maintain and monitor construction database and files.
- Provide customer with appropriate documents and forms in accordance with bank procedures.
- Maintain regular contact with lenders, customers and contractors in order to resolve problems.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5-10 years of lending, construction documentation or servicing experience and demonstrated, solid understanding of loan underwriting, portfolio management and risk assessment or commensurate experience.
- Self‑starter able to work with or independent of others.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word computer skills with a solid understanding of mathematics.
- Full understanding of construction processes.
- Ability to understand complex real estate construction loan documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prepare, present and explain reports and process methodology.
- Ability to convey professionalism to customers and employees and to relate well to financially sophisticated clientele.
Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
Working ConditionsThe physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work‑related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds.
Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
