Managing Director, Real Estate

The Managing Director leads and actively participates in a team’s efforts to originate, underwrite, structure, and close lending opportunities within a designated business sector, drawing on deep industry knowledge and expertise.

This position is based on-site at our headquarters in Plano, Texas.

• Manage investment teams on multiple transactions simultaneously
• Analyze, perform due diligence, structure, document, negotiate and close deals
• Able to develop independent views on value
• Understand the business cycle and how that impacts value
• Manage deal process and coordinate interactions with counter parties, consultants, advisors, lawyers and other outside parties
• Prepare presentations and materials for senior management and committee review
• Present transactions to senior management and loan committee for review and approval
• In coordination with other internal groups, monitor existing investments/loans
• Acts effectively as part of the Bank’s Senior Management Team and works together towards achieving the Company’s overall goals
• Train and develop team members
• Other duties as assigned by manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• 15+ years of direct lending experience – bilateral loans preferred
• Good management and interpersonal skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
• Must have good research and quantitative skills and be able to come to conclusions in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Performance driven, adaptable and team-oriented
• Proven track record
• Excellent financial modeling/valuation, analytical and accounting skills
• Proficiency with excel
• Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive
• Self-starter; ability to work well in a team environment
