The City of Plano is looking for an innovative and forward-thinking person to join our team as a Safety Coordinator. The Public Works Safety Coordinator will coordinate the department safety program, provide information for licenses and certifications for employees and record progress. This position will work to develop a program to train Public Works employees in-house to obtain their Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
This position will also visit Public Works job sites and monitor safety procedures and work zone setups. This position may assist Supervisors and Superintendents with monthly safety crew meeting training and topics.

The schedule for this position is flexible:
Five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days.
A uniform allowance will be available for this position. This employee would possibly be able to use a city vehicle for jobsite visits. This position will be assigned a laptop.
