Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
  • Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC‑SLP
  • License to practice Speech‑Language Pathology in Texas
  • Experience in pediatrics required
  • Home health experience preferred
  • Feeding experience required
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0‑21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
  • Define patients’ degree and type of impairment by selecting and administering appropriate testing instruments
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient and advise on speech therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training, printed material/resources, and in‑service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech‑Language Pathology Assistants if possessing three or more years of experience
