Mammography Technologist

Overview

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologist. You will operate the assigned machine to produce diagnostic images, guiding patients through the process with patient-centered care and excellent customer service.

Employment type: Temporary (PRN) with variable shifts:
Mon‑Fri 7:00–4:30, Saturday 7:30–1:00.

• Patient Mammography Imaging (90%)
  • Screen patient before exam for precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explain and prepare patients for imaging procedures, positioning patients so body parts can be appropriately imaged.
  • Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout.
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations, and maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
  • Maintain the ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Mammography Department Support (5%)
  • Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
• Completes other tasks as assigned (5%)
