Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN Weekends

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients ranging in age from 18 to geriatric who are experiencing rehabilitation diagnoses or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assists in patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities and limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Administers a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients’ capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist.

Educates patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.

Pay:
Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA and/or Red Cross. Online certification not acceptable.

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames.
