RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work on Ortho Trauma Specialty Medsurg unit with 36 beds

• Patient ratios 1:5 with flexibility to 6 patients

• Must arrive on unit by 6:45 AM (day shift) or 6:45 PM (night shift) for huddle

• Tardy by hospital policy if arrival is after 6:53 AM or 6:53 PM

• Care for polytrauma patients, non-surgical cervical fractures cleared by spine/ortho/trauma with downgraded TBI, and burn downgrades

• Manage patients with no more than 3 drains

• Administer Heparin and Protonix drips

• Work with telemetry equipment

• Use Meditech EMR system

• Float to all Med Surg units as needed

• Required to work 4 weekend commitment

• Must have 1 year Med Surg experience

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Preferred experience with orthopedic and/or trauma patients

• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs

• Must be a team player
