Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Verification of Benefits Specialist to join their team. As a Verification of Benefits Specialist, you will be part of the Medical Support Department supporting the Benefits Verification team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a team-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

• Verify insurance benefits for patients across multiple carriers including private insurance, Workers Compensation, and Medicare.
• Utilize portals and verification tools to confirm patient coverage and benefits.
• Maintain accurate records of benefit information and communicate findings effectively to team members and patients.
• Ensure timely processing of benefit verification requests to meet organizational deadlines.
• Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff to support billing and authorization processes.

• High school diploma required; AA degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in a utilization review environment or similar work experience.
• Knowledge of private insurance, Workers Compensation, and Medicare guidelines related to utilization review.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel); experience with medical billing software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of CPT codes, ICD‑10CM diagnosis coding, and benefit verification processes.
