Caregiver position Plano area

Comfort Keepers is seeking a caregiver to join our team in the (75002) Plano/Allen area. The caregiver will provide physical care and emotional support to clients who may be unable to care for themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate dignity, patience, compassion, and respect in caring for clients and their property. They should enjoy housework, remain empathetic at all times, and be comfortable working around cats. Availability to work every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Home assistance: Provide light housekeeping, run errands, offer transportation, accompany clients to appointments, assist with medications, prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming. Assist with financial tasks like balancing checkbooks, banking, or bill payments if needed.

• Companionship: Offer companionship and conversation, stimulating, encouraging, and assisting clients.

Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred
• At least one year of verifiable caregiving experience
• Experience with clients needing Dementia care
• Successful passing of a Criminal Background check
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Valid state driver's license
• Dependable vehicle with current insurance, listed as driver or owner
• Willing to drive at least 30 minutes to work
