Responsibilities- Perform nuclear medicine, PET, SPECT, and SPECT/CT procedures in compliance with departmental protocols.
- Follow quality control, quality assurance, radiation safety, and infection control procedures.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established guidelines.
- Verify correct patient identity and procedure prior to exams.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and perform daily quality control checks.
- Ensure accurate image transfer and documentation within PACS and EMR systems.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and radiation safety before and after exams.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and healthcare staff.
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required.
- AHA BLS certification required.
- 1 year of Nuclear Medicine or PET experience required.
