Day To Day as a Medical FCMAs an Independent Contractor (1099) Medical FCM, you will actively manage a caseload of injured employees to ensure they receive the highest level of care throughout their recovery journey. Your responsibilities include attending in‑person provider appointments, facilitating essential treatments, and building a 3‑point contact system with the injured employee, employer, and medical provider within 48 hours of receiving a referral. You will confirm referral clauses to the adjuster within 24 hours, demonstrating your commitment to accountability and communication.
Using our Smart Cat system, you will document notes and operate within evidence‑based guidelines, reinforcing our dedication to excellence and innovation in medical case management.
A robust set of skills and qualifications is essential. You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a medical field and an active RN license. Additional certifications such as CCM, CDMS, CRC, CRN, or COHN will further strengthen your candidacy. A solid working knowledge of evidence‑based guidelines—including the ODG by MCG or Return‑to‑Work guidelines—is required. You should have a minimum of three years of experience in case management and workers’ compensationofstream.
KnowledgeAnd Skills Required For The Position Are
- Bachelor’s degree in a medical field
- RN license
- Case Management Certification (e.g., CCM, CDMS, COHN, etc.)
- 3‑5 years of Case Management experience
- Experience with evidence‑based guidelines such as the ODG by MCG or Return‑to‑Work guidelines
- 3‑5 years of Workers’ Compensation experience
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
