Overview
Senior Data Stage Administrator (with some Data Stage development, infrastructure support, production support and Unix experience).
Work arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
Locations: Charlotte, NC 28202 or Plano, TX 75024 (locals only).
Duration: 12-18 months contract (long-term).
Experience Level: Min. 7-8 years.
Responsibilities- Main skills:
Data Stage Administration, some Data Stage Development, Infrastructure Support, Production Support, IIS and Unix. - Work with IT teams to define infrastructure and system requirements to support Information Server Data Stage environment on zLinux.
- Understand and apply experience with Info Sphere products in a zLinux environment.
- Identify standards for configuration settings for Data Stage performance management; optimize disk space and memory allocation.
- Install/Upgrade Info Sphere products such as Data Stage and related products (e.g., Data Masking, Classic Federation).
- Configure, tune, and maintain Data Stage application instances and supporting underlying database and OS environments.
- Set up projects, roles, users, and privileges across DEV, QA, PROD environments.
- Implement procedures for maintenance, monitoring, backup, and recovery operations for Data Stage.
- Available for on-call production support.
- Provide migration support and automation procedures.
- Experience with Data Stage Administration and some Data Stage Development.
- Infrastructure and production support experience, including Unix and IIS.
- Experience with Info Sphere products in a zLinux environment.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for Data Stage.
- Experience with installation/upgrade of Data Stage and related products (Data Masking, Classic Federation).
- Ability to configure, tune, and maintain Data Stage and supporting OS/database environments.
- Experience setting up security: projects, roles, users, privileges across environments (DEV/QA/PROD).
- On-call availability for production issues and diversification of responsibilities between development, infrastructure, and production support.
