Lead Platform Engineer (Network Infrastructure)

General Responsibilities- Network Design & Architecture – plan and develop network infrastructure based on business needs; create bill of materials, obtain quotes from vendors, and order/install network circuits.
- Installation & Configuration – set up routers, SD‑WAN routers, switches, out‑of‑band management, and other network equipment.
- Maintenance & Optimization – monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network efficiency.
- Security Management – implement security measures to protect against threats.
- Support & Troubleshooting – diagnose and resolve connectivity and performance issues.
- Upgrades & Scalability – keep networks updated with the latest technology and ensure they can scale as the organization grows.
- Work with various networking technologies including LANs, WANs, SD‑WANs, VPNs, cloud networking, and wireless networks, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer.
- Automation and scripting preferred to streamline operations.
- Hardware brands include Cisco, Versa SD‑WAN, Lantronix.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Git Hub, or Artifactory).
- At least 4 years of experience with AWS.
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Cisco network hardware and software.
- 2+ years of experience in Python or Ansible scripting.
