Insurance Software Associate Manager (Nashville TN)

Summary:
- Ability to work from and relocate to customer location (if required)
- Willingness to overlap with India time zone for critical business activities and work extra hours, including weekends, to support go‑live activities
- US citizen or green‑card holder
- Willingness to travel as per business requirement
- Minimum 5 years of experience on DXC Insurance products
- Support a team of Insurance software engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring successful delivery of software projects.
- Assist in the professional growth and mentorship of team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
- Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.
- Manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.
- Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience in the Insurance industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role within software engineering
- Proficiency in at least one software language and development methodology
- Strong Java programming and debugging skills
- Some prior leadership or mentoring experience
- Familiarity with software development best practices and methodologies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to grow in a leadership role
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
- Relevant certifications or training is a plus
