Summary:

• Ability to work from and relocate to customer location (if required)

• Support a team of Insurance software engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring successful delivery of software projects.
• Assist in the professional growth and mentorship of team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
• Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.
• Manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.
• Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience in the Insurance industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role within software engineering
• Proficiency in at least one software language and development methodology
• Strong Java programming and debugging skills
• Some prior leadership or mentoring experience
• Familiarity with software development best practices and methodologies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to grow in a leadership role
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills

• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training is a plus
