This role is not a typical Kubernetes position. Our product is deployed directly into customer environments, many of which may be air‑gapped or have limited Kubernetes experience. You will serve as the subject matter expert for our Helm‑based installation process, which includes a large, multi‑layered chart with over 40 sub‑charts and numerous open‑source dependencies. You will support customer deployments, improve our tooling, and drive the reliability and consistency of our installation framework.

• Serve as the subject matter expert for our Helm charts and deployment architecture.
• Develop installation tools, automation, and customer‑specific deployment procedures.
• Improve, maintain, and review changes to our Helm charts and deployment tooling.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal teams and customer use.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation and upgrade issues in internal labs and customer environments.
• Review customer deployment plans, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with QA to expand test coverage related to installation and upgrade flows.
• Track versions and health of all third‑party dependencies; update packages when needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Linux system administration background.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Bash and Python scripting experience, including debugging.
• Familiarity with containerd, CNIs, ingress controllers and related network components.
• Experience creating and managing Kubernetes clusters on bare metal and virtual machines using automation.
• Ability to support both highly skilled Dev Ops teams and customers with limited Kubernetes knowledge.

• Experience with Open Shift.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tooling such as FluxCD or ArgoCD.
• Experience deploying software in air‑gapped or regulated environments.
