Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure—primarily on AWS , with additional exposure to Azure or GCP considered a strong plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong security-first mindset, deep experience in infrastructure as code (IaC), and a collaborative approach to supporting development and Dev Ops teams in building modern cloud-native platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and implementation of AWS cloud environments tailored to business needs and aligned with security and compliance standards.
- Provide technical guidance to development and operations teams on cloud architecture best practices.
Security Architecture
- Design and implement robust security controls in AWS, ensuring protection of data and infrastructure.
- Drive secure configuration of cloud resources including IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and vulnerability management.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or Cloud Formation , enabling consistent, repeatable, and scalable deployments.
- Integrate infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines and operational workflows.
Scripting & Automation
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments using Python , Bash , Git , Jenkins , Power Shell , and other scripting tools.
- Develop self-healing and auto-scaling solutions to improve system resilience and reduce manual effort.
Dev Ops and CI/CD Support
- Operate within a Dev Ops ecosystem, supporting CI/CD processes, containerization, and automated security testing (DAST/SAST).
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline release cycles and ensure secure deployments.
Monitoring and Reliability
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting strategies for cloud workloads using native AWS tools and third-party platforms.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure-related issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with application developers, security engineers, and platform teams to support end-to-end delivery.
- Participate in platform architecture discussions and long-term cloud strategy planning.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, including multi-cloud environments with a strong focus on AWS .
- Solid experience in infrastructure automation (Terraform, Cloud Formation) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Power Shell).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git Hub, Jenkins, and Git Lab.
- Proficiency in Docker/Kubernetes , cloud networking, and container orchestration.
- Strong grasp of cloud security practices , IAM, encryption, and data protection.
- Exposure to Dev Sec Ops , including vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Datadog, etc.) and alerting strategies.
- Experience with cloud-native data services such as Databricks, AWS Glue, EMR, Athena, and Data Lake .
Nice to Have:
- Experience with distributed systems , Linux , CDNs , HTTP/TCP/IP fundamentals , and SQL/database administration .
- Familiarity with REST APIs , microservices architecture, and serverless computing models.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Dev Ops Engineer
- Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud certifications (preferred)
