Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an AI/ML Architect to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast‑paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side‑by‑side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.
Future Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe AI/ML Architect will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI/ML solutions within cloud‑based enterprise environments. This role involves partnering with business teams to understand requirements, architecting scalable and secure AI/ML systems, and integrating these solutions into existing applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in cloud platforms, machine learning engineering, and enterprise architecture, while also demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
Required Qualifications- 10+ years of hands‑on experience in application development
- 5+ years in solution architecture, systems engineering, or AI‑related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Proven experience deploying machine learning models and AI services in production environments
- Hands‑on expertise with AWS tools such as Sage Maker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, and MySQL
- Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, or R
- Familiarity with AI services for speech, vision, and text processing
- Experience with MLOps and Data Ops life cycles and engineering practices
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud data migration strategies
- Exposure to multi‑cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Understanding of architecture frameworks (TOGAF is a plus)
- Experience with tools like Spark, Hive, and Airflow (Spark preferred)
- Ability to design and implement AI workflows integrated with business applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and strategic planning
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
- AWS Professional Certification in AI/ML (preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (required)
