INTUS Smart cities is expanding its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) footprint across multiple U.S. states. As we scale our broadband infrastructure, we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate the core IP and transport networks that power our ISP services.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on network engineer with deep ISP experience who thrives in building resilient, high‑performance networks from the ground up and supporting long‑term growth.

What You’ll Do- Work closely with the INTUS Smart cities team to design and establish ISP networks in California, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
- Design and implement scalable IPv4 and IPv6 network topologies for FTTH deployments.
- Develop Layer 2 and Layer 3 network architecture supporting residential broadband services.
- Plan, configure, and optimize routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF to ensure reliability and performance.
- Identify and evaluate strategic Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) for peering and transit.
- Negotiate and manage peering agreements to optimize latency and reduce upstream costs.
- Design and implement traffic engineering strategies to balance load across transit providers and IXPs.
- Evaluate and select vendors for core and edge routers, switches, and optical transport equipment.
- Define technical requirements and performance benchmarks for network hardware procurement.
- Oversee deployment and configuration of selected network devices.
- Design network redundancy and failover mechanisms to ensure high availability.
- Implement dual-homing, redundant uplinks, and resilient POP architectures.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with NOC and field teams to support monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in ISP or telecommunications network engineering.
- Strong expertise in IP networking, fiber access networks, and routing protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with major networking vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
- Comfortable designing and operating carrier‑grade, highly available networks.
- Experience with network automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
- Prior experience working in an ISP environment is strongly preferred.
- Able to travel within the U.S. as required.
- CCNP / CCIE, JNCIP / JNCIE, or equivalent advanced networking certifications.
- MEF Carrier Ethernet or similar fiber network certifications.
