NARIK CONSULTING, LLC is a leading IT consulting firm that specializes in providing innovative solutions to clients in various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced DB2 DBA to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis.

As a DB2 DBA at NARIK CONSULTING, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our clients' DB2 databases. This includes designing, implementing, and monitoring database systems to ensure optimal performance and data integrity. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any database issues that may arise.

• Design, implement, and maintain DB2 databases for clients
• Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other applications
• Stay up-to-date with the latest DB2 technologies and best practices
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members
• Participate in database capacity planning and performance tuning activities
• Create and maintain documentation related to database systems and processes
• Conduct regular database audits to ensure data integrity and security

• US Citizen or Green Card Required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DB2 DBA
• Strong knowledge of DB2 database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery strategies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with other database systems such as Oracle or SQL Server is a plus
