• Key Responsibilities:
• Data Pipeline Development & Maintenance Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using DBT for transformation and Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Databricks for orchestration and processing.
• Automate ingestion of data from multiple structured and unstructured sources into Snowflake.
• Snowflake Data Platform Management Develop and maintain Snowflake schemas, tables, views, and role-based access control.
• Optimize Snowflake performance via clustering, partitioning, caching, and query tuning.
• Manage Snowflake data sharing, replication, and cost controls.
• DBT (Data Build Tool) Implementation Create modular, reusable DBT models and SQL-based transformations.
• Manage and document lineage, testing, and deployment using DBT Cloud or CLI.
• Implement version control and CI/CD pipelines for DBT workflows (Git Hub / Azure Dev Ops).
• Azure Cloud Infrastructure Utilize Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL for storage and staging.
• Implement Azure Key Vault for secure secrets management.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops to monitor, deploy, and secure cloud-based solutions.
• Data Quality & Governance Build and maintain data quality checks, logging, and alerting using DBT tests and monitoring tools.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies.
• Document data definitions, business logic, and data flows.
• Collaboration & Support Partner with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Business Stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data issues and enhancements.
• Mentor junior team members on Snowflake, DBT, and best practices.
