Job Description:

OverviewThis job is responsible for driving efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals.
Responsibilities- Lead code design and delivery tasks with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytical data systems.
- Lead story refinement and delivery of requirements through the delivery lifecycle and assist team members in resolving technical complexities.
- Code complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data; build processes for data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency management, and workload management; assemble complex data sets; communicate deployment information.
- Lead documentation of system requirements; collaborate with development teams to understand data requirements and feasibility; leverage architectural components to develop client requirements.
- Lead testing efforts to develop test plans, contribute to test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify issues, and triage root causes.
- Work with technology partners and stakeholders to close gaps in data management standards; communicate solutions to complex problems.
- Lead complex IT projects to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to release processes and risk management; define and build data pipelines to enable data-informed decision making.
- Mentor Data Engineers and monitor key performance indicators and internal controls.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, optimize queries, improve schemas, and design new ones.
- Create and maintain change control, testing processes, documentation, troubleshooting playbooks, and recovery plans.
- Postgres
SQL DBA experience in a 24x7 production environment. - 6+ years of Postgres database management.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional SQL development and performance tuning skills.
- Experience architecting large-scale production database platforms.
- Expertise with Postgres system metrics and optimization strategies.
- Familiarity with system level metrics and practical use of common Linux utilities.
- Mastery of one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Understanding of virtualization and clustered environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to teach and learn.
