APIs are at the center of how Capital One builds and manages the technology foundation of the company. While this role will have general PM responsibilities in various aspects of API management, the focus is on the broad API ecosystem, including how we offer industry‑leading AI‑centric capabilities while enabling API developers to meet security and governance standards. We're passionate about building platform software for the next generation of developers at Capital One and are looking for someone excited to build lovable yet rock‑solid solutions at scale.

In this role, you'll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:

• At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• MBA or Master's degree
• Experience with API platforms or API management in an enterprise environment
• Experience with cyber security, especially with APIs and cross‑enterprise (internal/external) use cases
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification

McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Product Management
New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Product Management
Plano, TX: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Product Management
Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
