Overview
Credit Associates, a very successful and rapidly growing consumer financial services company located near Highway 121 and the Dallas North Tollway in Plano, Texas, seeks an Analytics Engineer to work on our growing Corporate Reporting and Analytics team. Our ideal candidate for this position is someone with a bachelors degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or similar.
Who You Are- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or similar.
- 3+ years in the data space or comparable experience.
- Keen problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Has the interpersonal skills necessary to work well with others in teams and collaborative work situations.
- Passion for data visualization and communicating data stories.
- Possesses a desire and ability to learn new skills/technologies.
- Practical experience with SQL (preferably MySQL, Maria
DB, or Postgre
SQL), data modeling/data warehousing, and Python. - Practical experience with visualization libraries and tools such as matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Basic understanding of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and data mining (theory, algorithms, and application).
- Curiosity about how things work and tenacity to learn and bring new perspective.
- Understanding of cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Create and maintain data pipeline architectures to meet continuing needs of stakeholders.
- Solve novel and complex business problems with high-quality maintainable code.
- Ensure data is prepared for easy visualization and reporting.
- Data gathering from a variety of sources.
- Explain complex or technical topics to management, peers, and others who may not possess a strong data background in easy-to-understand terms.
- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and other tools to support our stakeholders needs; relentlessly focused on minimizing defects and technical debt.
- Advocate for leading data practices and ensure business users make data driven decisions.
- Provide high quality documentation.
