Overview

Data Stage Analyst / Developer position requiring USC/GC EAD; located in Plano, TX. This is a full-time permanent role.

Position 1 — Data Stage Analyst

Location:

Plano, TX

Responsibilities

  • Develop Datastage Parallel Extender jobs using different stages like Aggregator, Join, Merge, Lookup, Source dataset, External Filter, Row generator, Column Generator, Change Capture, Copy, Funnel, Short, Peek stages, etc.
  • Use Datastage Director for running and monitoring the jobs.
  • Create Datastage sequences to run the batch jobs.
  • Apply best practices in Datastage, performance improvements, implementing CDC, and UDFs.
  • Understand Unix/Linux systems, file systems, and shell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M, Tivoli, etc.
  • Good knowledge of MF file structures along with RDBMS.
  • Provide expertise in determining the strategic technical direction and system architecture for initiatives.
  • Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Good experience with database development tools (Oracle, Toad).
  • Good understanding of partitioning, indexes, bitmap indexes, triggers, and materialized views.
  • Good experience in query tuning and reading explain plans.
  • Experience in the Financial domain.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and client interfacing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
  • Basic:
    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
Position 2 — Data Stage Developer

Location:

Plano, TX

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 4 years of experience with backend RDBMS and data modeling / database design (Oracle and DB2 preferred).
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Design, Development & Build activities in IBM Datastage (v8.5 and above) ETL Projects.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development life cycle.
  • At least 3 years of experience in DW/BI related technologies and tools – MUST.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Design and Architecture review.
  • Knowledge of IBM Datastage Architecture, Stages/Transformations, Design, ETL flow, advanced SQLs.
  • Knowledge of data loading techniques using Datastage.
