Application Support Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Application Support Engineer to join their team. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be part of the Global Banking Technology department supporting the production environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining system stability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Application Support Engineer

Location: Plano, TX

Pay Range: $58.85

• Provide application support for batch applications within the banking technology environment.
• Debug and resolve production issues by analyzing Shell / Hive scripts, Informatica workflows, and SQL queries.
• Monitor batch jobs and handle job failures established timelines.
• Oversee daily data load jobs, application logs, and server logs to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

• Experience with Unix, PL/SQL, Autosys, and Informatica.
• Knowledge of Hadoop and Spark is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure during high-priority incident triage calls.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members across multiple geographical locations.
• Ability to analyze and fix production issues efficiently and effectively.
