We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Hands-On Engineer/ Team Lead to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Must be a US citizen or Green card holder to proceed with applying.
The Senior Cloud Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of cloud engineers and architects in providing managed cloud services (monitoring, support, optimization, and administration) across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Team Lead will ensure high service quality, client satisfaction, and efficient operations while driving automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of cloud engineers and administrators.
Allocate resources, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.
Cloud Operations Management
Provide oversight for the daily operations, incident management, change management, and problem resolution across customer cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
Supervise deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud infrastructure following best practices and security standards.
Ensure monitoring, backup, patching, and disaster recovery configurations are properly implemented.
Conduct root cause analyses for critical incidents and drive corrective/preventive actions.
Customer/Stakeholder Engagement
Act as escalation point for customers during incidents or critical issues.
Participate in client meetings, provide technical guidance, and support cloud solution discussions.
Prepare and present operational reports, incident summaries, and optimization recommendations.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Oversee the development and implementation of automation tools/scripts for provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and reporting.
Identify areas for operational improvement and cost optimization.
Advocate and implement Dev Ops and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) philosophies.
Governance, Compliance, Security
Ensure all managed environments are operated according to organizational policies, compliance frameworks, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with security teams for vulnerability management, cloud security compliance, and incident investigation.
Be able to support Microsoft Sentinel integration with each cloud.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Certifications (Preferred):
At least have AWS and Azure Cloud certifications.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Sys Ops Administrator
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate or Solutions Architect Expert
Google Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional
ITIL Foundation Certification (a plus)
Dev Ops certifications (a plus)
Experience:
Primary: AWS Lead
Secondary:
Azure (P) + GCP (S) + OCI
12 plus years of experience
12+ years' experience in Cloud operations/administration, with proven experience on AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI (at least strong in 2, working knowledge in all).
4+ years' experience in a technical team lead, supervisory, or project management role.
Experience with managed services, NOC/SOC operations, or MSPs.
Technical
Skills:
Deep hands-on knowledge in architecture, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in major public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM templates, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud-native security best practices (IAM, network security, data encryption, etc.).
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Power Shell, etc.).
Expert in Service Now ITSM
Expert in Cloud Cost Optimization. Familiar with Apptio Cloudability.
Familiarity in App Gate SDP, Qualys Total Cloud, Qualys Patch Management, Qualys CSAM, Crowd Strike, Palo Alto NGFW, etc.
Ability to analyze logs and monitor performance using native tools (Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, OCI Monitoring, etc.)
Strong understanding of backup strategy, disaster recovery, and high-availability architecture.
Be able to support customer remote file service in Azure File Share in Azure Gov Cloud.
Have strong expertise in multi-cloud security compliance, data encryption, network security, user access control, private endpoint setup, etc.
Soft Skills:
Proven leadership and people management skills.
