Position - Microsoft O365 / SaaS Migration Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA / McLean, VA / Plano, TX

Duration: Long-term contract

Experience: 10 years

• SaaS to SaaS migration DFS enterprise tech integration.
• Manage and administer Microsoft O365/Google Workspace environments.
• Plan and execute migrations from on-premises or other cloud environments to Microsoft 365.
• Connect O365 or Google Workspace with other systems and applications using APIs and web services.
• Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, taking proactive measures.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation and training materials for users.
• Automate tasks and processes using Power Shell, Apps Script, or other scripting languages.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to O365 and Google Workspace services and integrations.
• Provide prompt and effective technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
• Stay current with the latest O365 and Google Workspace features, updates, and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: IT teams, business units, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Work closely with the Architecture team to align platforms to latest architecture and configuration.
• Build and maintain underlying operational aspects of the platform, including remediating vulnerabilities.

• 3rd level engineering team: fielding questions from risk, cyber, security architects.
• Heavily involved with Google APIs; managing differences between Microsoft and Google.
• Goal: improve associate experience while switching between the two platforms.
• Governance work internally within Microsoft tenant.
• Some lift & shift in the environment.
• Almost 10 years in the Google space.
• PI: plan every quarter (determine priorities) - 75% hands‑on work vs 25% strategy/planning.
• Deploying Gemini to all Capone associates.
• Focus: lift & shift to Microsoft tenant, meeting governance compliance.
• This role brings Microsoft knowledge into Capone and assists in migration process.
• Requires a balance‑check from Microsoft perspective.

• Experience migrating from on-prem to SaaS or SaaS to SaaS.
• Microsoft background preferred.
• Engineering & governance experience in Microsoft.
• Some level of Architecture experience (Microsoft 365).
• 10-year range of in-depth experience.
• Strong Power Shell skills; experience with Power Platform.
• Python, Java, Node.js – a benefit.
• Power Shell is a huge plus for this team.
• AWS experience is a plus.

• SaaS API, O365, Google Workspace, Gemini.
• Python, Java, Node, AWS, Microsoft 365.
