Job Overview

Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract IT Support Technician on behalf of our client, a company that supports businesses in managing and improving their retirement plans, particularly 401(k) plans. This entry-level position is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. The IT Support Technician will provide front-line technical assistance to internal users and ensure smooth day-to-day technology operations.

• Respond to basic technical support requests, including password resets, login issues, and headset replacements.
• Troubleshoot common hardware and software problems to support internal employees.
• Answer calls and assist users in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of support issues and resolutions.
• Collaborate with the internal IT team to escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills when interacting with colleagues.
• Participate in occasional after-hours support, if needed (infrequent).

• Associate's degree or currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

• 1-3 years of relevant IT support experience.
• Recent graduates with internship or hands-on experience in IT welcome to apply.

• Basic troubleshooting knowledge for hardware and software.
• Familiarity with standard IT equipment and support processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level IT certifications a plus but not required.

• Understanding of basic IT functions such as login systems, network connectivity, and peripheral setup.

• Eagerness to learn and grow in an IT support role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience and problem-solving mindset.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
