Manager, Software Engineering

The Principal Software Engineeringleaderwill play a pivotal role in software development activities, long-term initiative planning, and collaboration across the enterprise technology organization. Software Engineering is the cornerstone of scalable digital transformation acrossthe Pepsico’s value chain. This leader will deliver the end-to-end software development experience, deliver high-quality software as part of the Dev Ops process, and have accountability for business operations.

The leader in this role will provide the integration design by translating the business requirements into design documents and artifacts for the technical team for implementation.

The role will ensure we deliver the best possible application integration solutions and ensure theygenerate value through cost savings or incrementalbusinessvalue. This leader will work closely with the product, enterprise and solution architecture, development, testing, and process engineering teams to develop new products and prioritizesolution delivery across core business and technology priorities.

• Create the vision and guide a team of functional design engineers to build and support digital products and applications across core business and technology priorities
• Own the creation of functional design documents and field mapping documents by translating business requirements and architecture direction into detailed, implementation-ready design artifacts for technical teams.
• Drive partnerships with User Experience, Product Management, IT, Data & Analytics, Emerging Technology, Innovation, and Process Engineering teams, and outside vendors to deliver the digital product portfolio
• Develop and expand enterprise products capabilities through a customer-obsessed, services-driven digital solutions platform that leverages data and AI to deliver automated and personalized experiences
• Drive the design process with AI first mindset. Proactively leverage available AI capabilities for design work and explore potential AI possibilities to enable the team to deliver faster, stronger, and better.
• Develop software development strategy utilizing industry standards. Create roadmap and timing of implementation of the roadmap based on business requirements and strategy.
• Lead multi-discipline, high-performance work teams distributed across remote locations effectively. Build, manage, develop, and mentor a team of engineers.
• Interact with various peers across the company to build consensus for solution.
• Manage and appropriately elevate delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the engineering initiatives to the stakeholders
• Interact with key business partners to recommend solutions that best meet the strategic needs of the business.

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.
• Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
