A law firm in Plano is seeking an experienced Paralegal to provide comprehensive litigation support within a fast-paced insurance defense practice. This role plays a key part in supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation by ensuring accuracy, organization, and strict compliance with state and federal court procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests and responses
- Prepare trial materials, including exhibits, pleadings, and related filings
- Electronically file documents in state and federal courts, including removal of cases to federal court
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and adjuster conferences
- Maintain and organize case files, calendars, and deadlines to ensure timely case progression
- Provide general litigation support to attorneys throughout the lifecycle of each case
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, and filing requirements
- Proficiency with e-filing platforms and legal case management systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks
- Prior litigation and insurance defense experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
