Staff Attorney - Sr Counsel; multi-level

Provides legal counsel and advice to the corporation and its subsidiaries to ensure their effective operation in accordance with federal, state, local, and/or international laws.

• Provides legal counsel and guidance to Fed Ex to ensure legal compliance and protection of its rights.
• Assesses legal risks, prepares legal documents, represents the company in legal matters, and provides on-the-spot legal advice.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Juris Doctorate degree from an Accredited Bar Association (ABA) and admission to the bar.

Four (4) years' experience and demonstrated competency relevant to area of legal specialization.

Superior academic record.

Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.

Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.

Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals.

Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations. Ability to work and influence peers and senior management.

This position provides critical support to the Commercial organization and the Company's AI efforts. Technology Transactional experience handling complex data and technology transactions domestically and globally. Client communication and good problem-solving skills.

In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.

Desired location is Mem, TN, PGH, PA, Plano, TX, and Irvine, CA, but the role can be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories. You may be required to work at a Fed Ex Campus several times per week.
