Demand Planning & Forecasting
Supply Chain & Logistics Operations
Advanced Excel & Data Analysis
The Supply Chain Analyst supports demand planning, product allocation, inventory management, order fulfillment, and logistics operations to ensure the right products are available and delivered to customers on time.
This role works closely with Sales, Product Management, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to manage forecasts, customer orders, inventory levels, and supply requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and maintain short-term demand forecasts, generally covering a six-month planning horizon.
- Manage weekly demand forecasts by SKU and site.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, customer demand, promotions, and upcoming product launches.
- Update forecasts based on changes in demand and business conditions.
- Coordinate supply requirements to support forecasted customer demand.
Order & Allocation Management
- Manage product allocation based on forecasted demand and available supply.
- Track customer orders and ensure orders are processed and delivered on time.
- Provide customer order commitments based on inventory and supply availability.
- Monitor sales order receipt and shipment progress to support monthly sales targets.
- Identify potential supply or delivery issues and recommend appropriate actions.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and balance product availability with inventory targets.
- Analyze available-to-sell inventory and aging inventory.
- Develop recommendations to maximize sales while minimizing excess or aging inventory.
- Manage and monitor factory and warehouse inventory status.
- Maintain required inventory of products and materials to meet operational demand.
Logistics & Supply Chain Operations
- Coordinate logistics activities including stock transfers and inventory diversion.
- Review production schedules, purchase orders, sales orders, transfer orders, and shipment schedules.
- Coordinate product movement between locations based on supply and demand requirements.
- Work with internal and external teams to support production scheduling and supply availability.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and publish daily and weekly supply chain operating reports.
- Analyze supply, demand, inventory, order, and shipment data.
- Monitor supply chain KPIs and identify areas requiring corrective action.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations regarding demand, inventory, and supply chain performance.
- Maintain accurate operational and production-related records.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Business Management, Operations, Logistics, and other teams.
- Communicate forecast changes, supply constraints, inventory risks, and order status.
- Coordinate with production and supply teams to ensure products are available according to business needs.
- Support new product launches, promotions, and other events that may impact demand.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
