Buyer, Supply Chain​/Logistics

The Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities for assigned materials, goods, and services to support manufacturing and business operations. This role drives sourcing initiatives, supplier management, cost optimization, and inventory support while ensuring material availability, quality, and compliance with company requirements. The Buyer works closely with Planning, Production, Logistics, Engineering, and suppliers to maintain a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.

• Manage sourcing, supplier selection, RFQs/RFPs, and purchasing activities for assigned categories.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms to achieve cost and service objectives.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and support actions to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Track supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, and invoice issues.
• Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate procurement data, pricing, and supplier information within ERP systems.
• Generate procurement reports and ensure compliance with company, quality, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred certifications: CPSM, CIPS, or CSCP.
• Knowledge of global sourcing, Incoterms, trade compliance, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
