Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Plano Distribution Center, ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This individual will work closely with the Inventory System Manager to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of units from the factory. The trainee will be responsible for maintaining accurate and updated warehouse inventory records daily.

This position is a one-year training role, during which the candidate will demonstrate their ability to handle increasing responsibilities.

• Inventory Management:
  Collaborate with the Inventory System Manager to ensure sufficient inventory levels and timely ordering of products.
• Maintain accurate and updated inventory records daily.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper inventory rotation to prioritize older stock for shipment.
• Warehouse Operations:
  Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Manage the preparation and organization of shipping boxes and pallets for next day orders.
• Ensure proper handling and processing of product returns, including communication with customer service and other departments.
• System and Process Management:
  Utilize SAP and other systems to manage orders, shipping, and inventory updates.
• Ensure all orders are processed, blocked, or canceled as needed, following company procedures.
• Oversee the uploading of shipping data into Fed Ex and UPS systems and ensure proper label printing.
• Safety and Cleanliness:
  Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Ensure compliance with sanitation standards, especially for food products. Address safety hazards promptly and ensure proper storage of inventory and equipment.
• Leadership and Training:
  Demonstrate leadership skills by managing daily workflows and mentoring warehouse staff. Take on increasing responsibilities during the training period to prepare for the Warehouse Manager role.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
• Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
• Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management.
• Proficiency with SCM+ for warehouses.
• License to operate a forklift.
• Ability to communicate in more than one language.
